Dragon Queens

The Feminine Lineage of Japan

Sacred Scent Pilgrimage

Tenkawa • Awaji Island • Ise

20–29 April

Hosted by

Yvette Sitten

Scent Academy • Cosmic Womb Training

Japan is a land where myth still breathes.

Hidden in mountain caves, coastal shrines and sacred islands are the traces of an ancient feminine lineage — priestesses who once guided the spiritual life of the nation.

Long before the solar mythology of Amaterasu shaped the imperial story of Japan, oracle women stood between land, sea and sky.

They were the Dragon Queens.

Sea priestesses.
Oracles of the kami.
Guardians of sacred rites.

This pilgrimage follows their traces.

This pilgrimage is designed for:

• Cosmic Womb trainees
• sacred feminine practitioners
• mythologists and researchers
• scent artists and aromatherapists
• spiritual pilgrims drawn to Japan

Participants unable to travel to Japan can join through a hybrid retreat option.

Includes:

• access to retreat teachings
• ritual transmissions
• training portal materials
• guided scent practices

The Path

Dragon Priestesses of Japan is a ten-day sacred pilgrimage through three powerful spiritual landscapes.

• Tenkawa – dragon caves and Benzaiten shrine traditions
• Awaji Island – birthplace of the Japanese creation myth
• Ise – the spiritual heart of Shinto

Part research journey, part ritual immersion, the retreat explores the hidden feminine traditions that shaped Japan’s spiritual history.

Through shrine visits, sacred landscapes and scent rituals we begin to remember the priestesses who once held authority over sea, womb and rite.

Throughout the retreat we explore:

• Dragon caves and water shrines connected to ancient priestess traditions

• The sea priestesses of Japan and their influence on early royal power

• Oracle traditions that existed before the solar cult of Amaterasu

• The forgotten role of women in ancient Japanese leadership

• The mysterious Christ traditions preserved in Japan

• Sacred geography linking Mary Magdalene and the Grail mythos

The Way

Japan preserved one of the most refined fragrance traditions in the world:

Kōdō
The Way of Incense.

In Kōdō, scent is not simply smelled — it is listened to.

Fragrance becomes a language capable of transmitting memory, poetry and spiritual states.

During the retreat participants will experience:

• sacred incense rituals
• scent meditation practices
• the language of fragrance in shrine culture
• teachings from the Scent Academy

This retreat continues the Cosmic Womb training first opened in Avalon.

In Japan we encounter the feminine mysteries through the element of water and dragon energy.

Caves, springs and islands become natural womb portals — places where ancient priestesses once conducted rites of transformation.

Participants continue their training as Cosmic Womb Priestesses through ritual, scent work and sacred geography.
